Pre Treatment Checklist

Pretreatment FAQ

  • Yes. The preparation is just as important as the treatment itself. If the area is cluttered or dirty, our products cannot reach the hiding spots where pests breed. Please note: If a home is unprepared when the technician arrives, we may need to reschedule the service. If you cant seal the cracks and crevices speak to the technician we may be able to offer your support

  • We understand that moving large items like wardrobes or heavy sofas isn’t always possible. Please do your best to move smaller items (nightstands, chairs) and clear the floor. If a heavy piece cannot be moved, please let us know before we arrive so the technician can plan a workaround or bring extra equipment.

  • generally, we recommend staying out of the treated area for 4 hours. This allows the liquid products to dry completely. Once dried, the products bond to the surface and are safe for your family to return.

  • Yes, once the product is dry. However, during the treatment and the drying period (approx. 4 hours), dogs and cats must be removed from the home.

    • Fish/Reptiles: Aquariums must be covered with a wet towel or plastic, and air pumps turned off.

    • Birds: Birds are very sensitive and must be removed from the home entirely for 24 hours if possible.

  • While our products are approved for residential use, we recommend that pregnant women and infants leave the home during treatment and perhaps stay away slightly longer (6–8 hours) as a purely precautionary measure. If you have specific medical concerns, we can provide the product label/SDS for you to show your doctor.

For exterior treatments (Ants, Spiders, Wasps), light rain is usually fine as we treat eaves and sheltered areas. If there is heavy downpour or storms, we will contact you to reschedule the exterior portion of the service.

  • Only if you are having a treatment for German Cockroaches or if specifically instructed by our office. For general ants or spiders, you do not need to empty cupboards, but you do need to clear the countertops.

  • No. This is a common mistake. Do not mop the floors or wipe down baseboards for at least 2 weeks after treatment. Our products leave a microscopic residual barrier that kills pests when they walk over it. If you mop immediately, you wash the treatment away.

  • No. Please keep windows and doors closed during the treatment to prevent the product from drifting and to keep pests from fleeing. You may open windows to ventilate the home after the 4-hour re-entry period is over.

  • They should come before the treatment. If they come after, they will likely wash away the chemical barrier we just applied. Please schedule cleaners at least 3-4 days before your appointment.
